Methodology
Facts first. Preferences second.
We are useful only if you can see why a recommendation was made—and where its product facts came from.
1. Verify the edition
Binding, volume coverage, release status, and advertised features must come from an official English-language publisher or its official distributor.
2. Normalize the decision
We compare the same reader constraints across publishers: entry commitment, shelf count, handling, durability, page presentation, completeness, and release progress.
3. Label judgment
“Budget,” “balanced,” and “premium” are editorial recommendations. They are not publisher claims, product ratings, or promises of the lowest live price.
4. Date the evidence
Every guide shows a verification date and confidence. Link failure or a new edition announcement triggers review; routine maintenance is capped to protect the solo-business model.
What we deliberately do not do
- No scraped catalogs.
- No cover art, manga panels, screenshots, or fan art.
- No affiliate link before program approval.
- No fake live price or stock.
- No special “AEO markup” claim.
