It often uses a hardcover, larger trim, combined volume coverage, upgraded paper, or bonus material, but none of those features is guaranteed by the label alone. Treat 'Deluxe Edition' as a prompt to read the product specification, not as a fact about binding or contents.
- GlossaryOmnibusA manga omnibus is a single paperback that reprints two or more of a series' original volumes back-to-back under one cover and one price, instead of selling them separately. Publishers usually state the exact ratio in the product name itself: VIZ Media's "3-in-1 Edition" line collects three original volumes per book, while Kodansha's omnibus lines vary by series, from a 2-in-1 format (Initial D collects "Vol. 1-2" per book, confirmed on Kodansha's own product page) up to 3-in-1 collections for titles like Attack on Titan and Fire Force.
